Hotels.com: Contextual Captain
THE BRIEF: Create Youtube pre-roll ads to let people know that with the Hotels.com Rewards program, they’ll earn a free night for every ten nights they stay.
THE IDEA: We identified 4 of the most popular searches among our target (cats, ASMR, mukbang, and How To videos), then created videos with Captain Obvious tailored to their search. We even created a generic fifth, so we could target almost any other search, too.
We had half a day to capture all five videos with Captain Obvious, so we used a green screen and had a little fun.
